“It was a very valuable and insightful experience. The reality is that the team didn’t know that we had asked Sir Steve Redgrave and his Team to come and do a session with us. Our top team was obviously somewhat surprised to say the least. What was valuable was first to hear Sir Steve talk about his experiences in teamwork and what it takes to succeed at the highest levels in his field. His introductory speech was inspirational and gave all of us food for thought in terms of how we interact as a group and communicate. The workshop afterwards that was facilitated by Personal Best was systematically structured to address what our management team had identified through pre-work and we spent a day addressing them. Not only did we learn more about ourselves as a team, but we were able to come up with a number of action points and behaviours that we needed to implement. We have actioned those and are continuously following up on them. The impact on our business is there to be seen. To us, the whole event laid the foundation for what we are trying to achieve. We plan to follow up this larger group session with a smaller session for our top management team next year facilitated by Personal Best. We highly recommend this for any team which is facing tough external challenges and which need a change in approach from the team”
